Love this little place! Huge roast beef sandwiches and amazing onion rings. The owner and cooks are super nice, and the "tip jar" goes to support Winthrop schools.

Always friendly and the food is great!

I've been coming here for years and the quality of their food and service has never wavered. If you want a personal recommendation, their beef sandwich 3-way (cheese, tangy BBQ, mayo) w/ lettuce, tomato, and onion. You'll probably be calling them again tomorrow.

The new owner takes alot of pride in his work. I hope this review sticks when he changes the name on Google to it's new name. I'll admit I looked at their roast beef sandwich on the menu and immediately was sceptical about it because I don't like some of the toppings but I figured while in Rome and ordered it as recommended. I ended up chewing into my fingers and hand to ensure I had eaten all traces of this sandwich. My man killed it, and this is going to become a town staple. I highly recommend these guys

The mozzarella sticks are my favorite there--sometimes a bit overdone. Service is usually okay, depending on who is working. Generally courteous. The sandwiches are fresh, but not really all that special. I have tried the meatball sub (clearly frozen meatballs) and the pulled pork. Their BBQ is way too sweet. Frozen, packaged burgers have been seen going on the grill.

Don't get to Winthrop much, but when we do we grab a few delicious Big Beefs with their Horse Radish Sauce. Nice people, good food.

Pete's is AH-mazing! Make sure I go there whenever in Winthrop. I always get the Superbeef with their homemade horseradish. The roast beef melts in your mouth, and will ruin any other roast beef sandwich you get in any other place in the future. So Good!

I year ago I went in here, ordered 1 sandwich, roast beef, what they are known for. Cold sandwich...40 mins. I ventured again today for a second chance. 40 mins. I will NOT be back

Get the junior with BBQ sauce. Amazing! My friend s get it with horseradish also. Great fries, superior onion rings. Call ahead if you are in a hurry because they cut the beef after it is ordered. Toasted buns! Perfect! So good!

Pete's Roast Beef is an awesome place to chow...Their signature sandwiches can't be matched (make sure it's topped with their own sauce), and horseradish...Their fries are crispy and hot, their onion rings are hand-cut, handbreaded and both are cooked to perfection...The wings are good, but a bit lacking in size, though they are hand-tossed and cooked spot on...Listen: drive, ride, walk or waddle to Winthrop and set your lips on beef heaven (can I get an "amen!")...Like how I did that? But there is fare for those kin to the sea, see...Whatever you do, don't pass up Pete's...Unless you love tofu - then this ain't for you, brothers and sisters...Now, if y'all will excuse me, I gotta get me some Pete's!

Just outstanding....Personal, tasty and home town fun.

I ordered a super roast beef sandwich and a large onion ring. The food was terrible and the wait was long and the price was outrageous for what I got. the atmosphere was hectic and uncomfortable. The owner was rude and unsanitary. I will not be going back and I will make sure that everyone I talk to doesn’t either.

Pete should have trained new owner.owner very nice but my roast beef was refrigerator cold ,supose to be hot.my onion rings was supose to be large but was a very burnt small.the steak and cheese that was also order was rock hard.shame ...luved this place.hope she hired a cook.was told 10 to fifteen minutes and there was no other orders but didn't get till 40 minutes were up.

Steak Bomb is fantastic. The people [ especially the owner] is so nice and courteousGreat curly fries. I left part of my order and they came all the way to my house to give it to me! That's service and a type of honesty not seen these days .I will most certainly go again.

I'm sad to see 1 star ratings here. Nice new owner, works hard, uses the best sauce, Maine needs more Mama Stump's roast beefs! Long wait but yummy beefs. Suggest calling ahead to make order not take long. Portions could be bigger that's all!

Loved my roast beef sandwich with the added tangy sauce and horseradish, delicious. My fiancée loved her fried shrimp and our fries/ tater tots. Owner was really nice and helpful, can’t wait to go back and try more food!

Petes roast beef is now mama stumps .. And it’s better than ever I recommend stopping here for lunch if you’re passing through Winthrop tender juicy roast beef mm mm good
